Pilates in the workplace

Motivate employees to lead healthier lifestyles

Pilates is an excellent enhancement to any corporate wellness initiative and can help motivate employees to lead healthier lifestyles. Studies show a healthy employee is a happy employee and many companies now recognise the health benefits that can be gained through providing fitness training for their employees. Poor posture, sitting or standing, can result in a variety of back, leg and foot problems and can lead to costly absenteeism.

Power of Pilates currently run corporate Pilates classes for several local companies including Cadburys, HMRC, Environment Agency, Dell and Afton Chemicals. We offer a range of formats tailored to the corporate environment and the type of work undertaken by the employees. Your staff will benefit from the body awareness that Pilates promotes and will be able to utilise Pilates principles in their daily office activities. Practicing Pilates regularly can increase strength, improve flexibility, relieve stress and develop a strong healthy posture.

Pilates is ideal for the workplace because it can be practiced by almost anyone and can be done almost anywhere, space permitting. Improved fitness doesn't happen overnight and for this reason corporate Pilates sessions are booked in blocks of 8. Some companies find that early morning Pilates is most convenient for their employees, whilst others opt for lunchtime or after work classes. Power of Pilates can offer classes from 7.30 am to 8.00 pm (duration 1 hour). All our classes are taught by qualified instructors.

Options are available for employee contributory or non-contributory classes. A secure page can be designed on the Power of Pilates website for your employees to book online – saving you time on unnecessary paperwork.
