We have been teaching mat Pilates in our studio in Reading since 2006 and have helped thousands of our clients achieve their fitness goals. Joining one of our Pilates mat classes is a great way to start your Pilates journey, the classes are hugely beneficial for your health and fitness and the sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities.

Our Mat Pilates Classes Get Results

Our 55 min long group mat classes are carefully designed to build your strength, increase your flexibility, imrprove your mobility and correct your posture. You can improve both your physical and mental health by regularly attending our Pilates mat classes.

To enhance your workout, we provide and use a range of small equipment in our classes, including mats, resistance bands, balls, weights, sliders, rollers and magic circles. For our pregnant clients, we offer additional support with stability balls and a Pilates pregnancy wedge, ensuring a comfortable and effective class.

Smaller Class Sizes and a Personal Touch

We prioritize small class sizes, with a maximum of 12 participants in a studio class. Our primary focus is on building a personal connection with clients. We strive to understand not just your reasons for joining our Pilates class, but also the nuances of how your body moves. This tailored approach leads to tangible results over time. Regular attendance to your Pilates mat classes is all that's required..

What happens in a Mat Pilates class?

Your mat Pilates class will begin with a gentle warm up to help you to relax and focus your mind. Following the warm up, your fully qualified Pilates instructor will guide you through a series of Pilates exercises designed to challenge your body and mind, strengthen your core, and enhance your body's mobility.The outcome? You'll feel elongated, revitalized, and pleasantly relaxed.

Who is Mat Pilates for?

Our group mat Pilates classes are suitable for all levels of ability - including beginners and pre & post natal clients. The emphasis in each class is on technique and individual progress, with several levels of difficulty offered within each exercise to ensure you work at a level that is as comfortable, or as challenging, as you want.

Our mixed ability mat Pilates classes are suitable, safe and very enjoyable for pregnant women to attend - every instructor has plenty of modifications for each stage of your pregnancy to keep you safe & comfortable in a mixed ability matwork class. We offer matwork Pilates classes every day at our Pilates studio in Lower Earley, Reading. Due to demand we also offer matwork at external locations in both Finchampstead, Wokingham and via livestream.

FAQ Mat Pilates

All our mat classes are 55 mins long

We keep class sizes small. Max of 12 clients per class in the studio. External venues may vary but we always keep the class size small.

We offer mat classes at our studio in Lower Earley, Reading and we also offer classes at external venues in Finchampstead and Wokingham. We also offer mat Pilates via livestream twice a week.

We provide everything that is required (though many customers prefer to bring and use their own mat). Bring some water, good energy and a smile! You should wear loose comfortable clothing, we do require all clients to wear socks in our classes. Shoes are not permitted inside the studio to help keep it clean and leave the outside stress outside!

We require 24 hours notice to cancel a class.

Our Pilates studio is filled with small equipment that we use in our mat Pilates classes. We generally use mats, bands, balls and small weights at the studio in our mat classes. We also have sliders, full and half rollers, and magic circles to add extra spice. For pregnant clients we have stability balls and a Pilates pregnancy wedge that can be used to support you during the class. No studio has more equipment than Power of Pilates!
