Getting Started

I'm new to Pilates, where do I start?

We recommend starting with one of our intro offers. You can try mat Pilates, reformer Pilates—or even both!

What happens in a class?

We begin with a warm-up to focus the mind, followed by Pilates exercises designed to challenge, strengthen, and mobilise your body.

What do I wear?

Wear comfortable, zip-free clothing and socks (grip socks for reformer classes).

Do I need to bring anything?

Everything is provided at the studio just bring a small towel and water. If you are attending a mat class at an external venue St Pauls or FBC please bring your own mat.

Booking & Membership

How do I book?

Visit our Booking/timetable page. If you're new, create a Momence account and buy a pass. All classes must be pre-booked.

Do you operate a waiting list?

Yes. If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. You’ll be notified if a space opens. Please respond promptly. You will need a credit to join the waitlist

What is the waitlist policy?

Joining the waitlist means you're committed to the class. You will need class credits and will be charged if you are added to the class.

How do I pay?

We accept credit/debit card, PayPal.

Can I manage my bookings online?

Yes! Manage everything via your Momence account or app. Log in here.

Where can I download the booking app?

How far in advance can I book?

You can book as far as your current pass allows. Auto-renewal memmbership allows you to book further in advance.

Can I temporarily pause my membership?

Email us at least 2 business days before renewal to pause your membership: hello@powerofpilates.co.uk You can pause a membership once a year for a min of 3 weeks

I need to cancel my Mat Class 7 week auto renewal - how do I do this?

You can cancel your auto renewal by logging into your profile on the Momence dashboard or by emailing us at hello@powerofpilates.co.uk at least 2 business days prior to your auto-renewal date in order to ensure that the cancellation is processed in time.

I need to cancel my Monthly Reformer membership - how do I do this?

You can cancel your Reformer monthly membership with 1 months written notice by emailing us at hello@powerofpilates.co.uk. Monthly Reformer memberships have a min term of 3 months

Class Policies

Do you give refunds?

We have a strict no-refund policy.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel 24+ hours in advance to keep your class credit. Late cancellations or no-shows are charged in full.

How do I reschedule a class?

Cancel 24+ hours ahead in Momence to keep your credit. Your class credit will be automatically reapplied and you can rebook a class.

Special Circumstances

I am pregnant / post natal - can I do Pilates?

Pregnancy: Check with your doctor first. You will need to have had a clear 12 week scan. Pilates can be ideal during pregnancy but may require modified exercises.
Post Natal: After medical clearance, Pilates can safely restore tone and support recovery including after Caesarean.

I’m being treated for an injury can I still do Pilates?

Yes. You must be cleared to return to exercise. We may suggest a 1:1 session first. Complete your medical PARQ form before starting. We can work alongside your practitioner as needed.

Facilities & Instructors

Do you have free parking?

Yes, all our studio locations offer FREE onsite parking.

Are there changing rooms and facilities?

Yes, each studio has restrooms suitable for changing.

Results & Benefits

How long before I notice the difference?

You may notice small changes within 6–8 weeks. Results vary depending on body type, consistency, and other factors. Consistency is key to lfe changing results.

What can Pilates add to my fitness routine?

Pilates complements gym training and sports by building core strength, posture, and injury resilience. It improves performance and balance in disciplines like running, football, golf, and tennis.
