Gabby - Power of Pilates

Gabby - Mat & Reformer Instructor

Hi, I’m Gabby! I first discovered Pilates after having corrective surgery for scoliosis in my late teens. It wasn’t until about a decade later, though, that I truly connected with it — and felt just how powerful Pilates can be for both your body and mind. Ever since, my passion has been helping others experience those same benefits and supporting people in building stronger, healthier lives through movement.

You can join me for one of our group Pilates classes, or book a private session if you’d like something a little more personalised. I can’t wait to meet you at the studio!

Meet your Pilates instructor - Gabby

I have always been someone who has always been sporty and active, however discovering this newfound strength and mobility via regular Pilates practice was transformative. This revelation inspired me to pursue comprehensive teacher training at the Physiotherapy and Pilates Rehabilitation Centre in Clevedon, North Somerset. The course was affiliated with Alan Herdman, a pioneering figure who introduced Pilates to the UK in the 1970s..

My training was highly remedial, encompassing everything from mat work to advanced equipment exercises. It covered various physical and postural conditions, such as back and neck pain, scoliosis, osteoporosis, arthritis, and pregnancy, as well as neurological conditions like multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease.

Since becoming certified, I have ran 1:1 and group equipment classes, mat classes, and faster-paced group reformer sessions. I work with a diverse clientele, from highly active individuals focused on performance to those seeking postural improvements, general strength and conditioning, body confidence, rehabilitation, and specialized groups such as pre/post-natal clients.

My mission is to help others enhance their physical and mental health. I firmly believe that through purposeful practice and the connection of body and mind, everyone can improve their posture, mobility, strength, and overall well-being, regardless of age or starting level.

I try to bring energy and enthusiasm to my teaching and am now on a mission to show people the power of Pilates and that through purposeful practice, connecting body and mind, everyone is capable of improving their posture, mobility, strength & wellbeing.
